Overview
Gift-O-Palooza is an event which had 3 different parts to it, with users being able to complete said parts in any order.
The event ran from December 22, 2024 and ended on January 1, 2025 when the Nuclear Winter set stopped giving out event items.
UGC Gifts
UGC Gifts is an on-site event that most UGC creators took part in. Each UGC creator made their own present for sale, and on Christmas, unboxed it with fun items.
Sulko's Lost Present of a Long journey unboxed on December 24th 2024, granting the Traveler's Mage Hat.

Nuclear Winter
Nuclear Winter is a Set in which players must repair the breaking machines. A machine will fail 60 seconds after it as broken, with too many failed machines causing the game to end.
To repair a machine, the player may be prompted to solve a simple math problem, stand still for a moment, or do simple trivia. What the machine wants the player to do will be displayed to the player through in-game Chat.
To make this tougher, there are broken pipes that have steam coming out of them in the shape of bubbles. If the steam touches the player, it lowers the player's walking speed until they walk out of the steam zone.
There are also exit workers, who will do nothing unless they bump into the player, at which point they will display a short message in the form of a chat-bubble and make the player unable to move for a few seconds.
As of January 1, 2025, this task is no longer running, though it has been stated that the set will remain online indefinitely and, in the future, give out non-event-related items. 1)

One of the gifts from the Gift-O-Palooza event, being the Locked present of Decendence, was obtained through an ARG (Alternative Reality Game). In this ARG, you had to scavenge around the entire SandPile website to get clues on how to obtain the gift.
origin.png ARG Completion Steps
Step 1: Head over to the Gift-O-Palooza Event Page, then click on the Picture of Santa Claus to load the Santa´s List Page. Scroll to the bottom and you´ll find the list being cut into two by a mysterious void, clicking on the void will redirect you to the Main Page of the ARG.
Step 2: The image that the static website will load contains a lot of information, but you need to focus on the glyphs in the bottom of the image. You´ll notice that some glyphs are repeated and form an order. The ARG takes place in the entire SandPile website, including games, which means you´ll have to scavenge to find the meaning of these glyphs, which are colors.
Step 3: The first glyph in the list can be found by going to the User Sets page of the user "Scoops" (whom is an official account registered by the SandPile Staff). This page instead of loading the regular 404 page, it will load a custom 404 page. This custom 404 page contains an image with the first glyph aka the S glyph painted with the color green, which means the first glyph is green.
Step 4: The second glyph in the list can be found by joining to the Nuclear Winter set. In the legacy SandPile client, entering a game would save all the model data in the SandPile %AppData% Windows folder, which means that the model and texture of the Nuclear Winter Machines was saved. Now we need to look at the texture of the Nuclear Winter Machines, by looking closely at the number pad you can notice that the DEL key was replaced with the second glyph, that was painted with the color black, which means the second glyph is black.
Step 5: The third glyph in the list can be found by looking at the back of the Smiles face in either the website or in-game. You´ll notice that the face has the third glyph on the back of it, painted with the color blue, which means that the third glyph is blue.
Step 6: The fourth glyph can be found by looking very, very closely at the Adventurous Present of Discovery old texture, that had the fourth glyph slightly hidden in the red pattern, which means that the fourth glyph is red.
Step 7: Now that you know the colors of each glyph, write down the colors in the order as seen in the Main Page of the ARG, and now you´ll have the final ARG code. ( Green Black Blue Red Green Red Black Blue)
Step 8: Input the code by opening in a new tab the Viking Helm set in the final code order. This set has the Viking Dark Helm, the Viking Velvet Helm, the Viking Lime Helm, and the Viking Sea Helm. If you input correctly the code you´ll receive the Locked present of Decendence. (You won´t find out until you check your inventory)
